20 Fenchurch St, London
20 Fenchurch Street has been designed by the world renowned and award winning architect Rafael Vinoly. The development is approximately 139m in height and will incorporate a number of mixed uses comprising retail, café, offices and a sky garden which will become London highest Public Park with spectacular views across London.
One New Change, London
The concept design of One New Change has been designed by one of the world's leading architects in Jean Nouvel. Its location provides some of the most pprestigious and desirable office space in London, enhanced by breathtaking views and a roof terrace offering a dramatic vantage point of St Paul’s Cathedral and the London skyline. The development will incorporate a number of mixed uses comprising three levels of retail accommodation entered off open arcades, café and restaurant facilities, offices and public roof terraces.
Essent Bio-logisch, Netherlands
Locke Carey conducted a fire investigation at this Dutch power station following an incident invloving bio-fuel and the transport process.
One Embankment Place, London
Locke Carey have provided Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Safety Training to both the sole tenant and the landlord management team within this building for approximately 10 years. We also developed the evacuation strategy having investigated the reported occurance of false alarms which were causing business continuity problems. We then trained all staff and advised on the principles and practice of evacuation for those with disabilities.
Dingwall Road, Croydon
This office development consisted of 36 floors above ground and a basement level.
We utilised the benefits of structural fire engineering to reduce the level of fire resistance required from 120 minutes to 90 minutes.
The building contained an atrium on which we undertook an analysis of the glazing and found that, despite guidance requesting fire resisting glazing, we could maintain an equivelent level of safety by using non-fire resisting glass and a drencher system.
The Grand, Brighton
The Grand Hotel is one of the many famous Victorian landmarks on Brighton’s historic seafront. Locke Carey carried out a Fire Investigation after a recent incident, and now provide Fire Risk Assessments and Training to the Hotel Staff.
Canary Wharf, London
Canary Wharf is the development to which we owe our existence. It was once Europe's tallest building and our founder's expertise on High Rise Evacuation was utilised by the developer Olympia & York. Over the years we have provided ongoing fire safety expertise to tenants and the landlord in the form of Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Safety Training.
Pegaso Residential, London
Pegaso, Britannia Walk is a mixed use development providing commercial retail space at basement and ground floor levels with six levels of residential accommodation above, totalling 81 units.Locke Carey worked with the Architect to prepare the Fire Strategy and then negotiated its approval with The John Miller Partnership who were the Building Control body.
